By Mail:

1. Include your citation, personal check*, certified bank check, or money order payable to the Lawrence County Municipal Court, for the total amount due. If you want to receive a receipt, you must send a self-addressed, stamped envelope with your payment.
2. Include Proof of Insurance (if not shown to the officer). Failure to provide Proof of Insurance will result in a suspension of your drivers license.

In Person:

1. You may pay by cash, personal check, certified bank check, or money order payable to the Lawrence County Municipal Court, for the total amount due.
2. If you do not pay your citation prior to the court date listed thereon, you must appear in court at 5:30 p.m. on said date.
   

   You may enter a plea of Guilty, No Contest, or Not Guilty. If you enter a plea of Guilty or No Contest you may either pay the full amount of your fine and cost at that time or you may request that the Judge allow you to make payments. If you choose to make payments you will be given a review hearing date. You must either have the full amount paid by the date of your review hearing or you must appear in Court on the designated date and time.
   
   Failure to pay your citation or appear in Court for a review hearing will result in a $25.00 late fee and a suspension of your drivers license.
   
   If you enter a plea of Not Guilty your case will be set for trial at a later date. All traffic trials are held on Tuesday evenings at 6:00 p.m.
